A couple of months ago we had a massive change: we swapped our Narrowboat ‘Plan B’ for the barge ‘Toggenberg’ so that we had a home that could better support our growing family.
She is a lovely old girl but is in need of some major interior re-work so that she fits our needs. I’ve been busy beavering away stripping the back cabin back to bare metal before the fit out of the new studio/workshop space begins.
As an additional challenge, we have just been offered (and have taken!) a mooring in Wiltshire on the beautiful Kennet & Avon canal that we need to arrive at by the end of September. I now have 8 weeks to do a skeleton fit out of the studio space and take Toggenberg on a 120-mile journey up the River Thames and the Kennet & Avon canal (and perhaps, more importantly, pass through 119 locks!)
As such, I have taken the difficult decision to shut up shop for the summer as I don’t believe I can provide the same level of focus & service to my customers whilst this is all going on.
I will leave the shop switched on but with zero stock available for purchase so that you can still browse and I will still be answering any queries promptly.
I hope you have a great summer and I will see you when I re-open the shop for business in early October.
